I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I moved to Florida when I was in 9th grade. I then went on to the University of Florida where I majored in Marketing. I taught in Tampa for 3 years. I then moved to Savannah, Ga in 2004 when I got married, my husband was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield. I taught in Savannah for 4 years. I went to Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2005 and received my Master's Degree in Education. In April of 2008 my 1st son was born and my 2nd son was born in Feb 2012.
We bought a house in Phenix City in July 2010. This is my 7th year at Smiths Station and my 13th year of teaching. I taught at SSHS for 5 years, then we moved to San Antonio for 1 year while my husband was in medical school. We are now stationed back at Ft. Benning while he completes the rest of his schooling. I have taught 6th grade math, 7th & 8th grade algebra, middle school remedial math, Algebra 1 A & B, Geometry, Algebraic Connections, Math Intervention, Algebra with Finance and Algebra 2 with Trig.
I have extremely enjoyed being here in Smiths. I continue to enjoy teaching, it is my true passion. Our family hopes to continue to be here for as long as we can!
